…okay. That’s insanely cheesy. But if you knew how mad i was for a white-and-black-damask theme with vivid green accents, you would totally understand. Seriously, we almost didn’t find our dream venue because i was SO stuck on having damask + green as my wedding colors. I was obsessed, people. And this is the picture that started it all (courtesy Hostess with the Mostess):
How awesome is that?! My favorite color, in my favorite shade even, and accented with gorgeous white hydrangeas and votives! And square black plates! So fresh! So crisp! I die!
…ahem. I am apparently still smitten with this color scheme. And i’m not alone — black and white damask with bright green is the hotness all over the place this year. Some awesome resources, if you’re lucky enough to be a damask bride:
Life. Love. Lipstick. has a collection of pictures, links, and resources for the green + damask bride.
More beautiful pictures from tying the knot, including this
b&w damask mini-inspiration board. I particularly love the black-over-white tablecloths with the damask table runner layered over top of both. So indulgent and posh!
Also, check out With This Ring… for some crazy green monograms with damask backing (i can’t get the picture to post here, but trust me, it’s worth the click over).
There are tons more resources out there for you if you puffy-heart the damask like me. (Justine Ungaro’s blog about her own super-fabulous wedding, The Unbride, comes to mind if you’re looking for a little edgier take on the idea. Hot pink? Yes, please!)
And lookit! I found the fabric for you!

That same picture started it all for me, too!
Right?? That picture seriously launched a thousand color schemes. I *dreamed* about it. It doesn’t work with our venue, as life would have it, but i am still scheming on how to make it work for some sort of giant super-fabulous party. Or maybe i’ll just wallpaper my living room in damask and have a bright green couch
I love the damask and green-I’m sure you’ll be able to make it work!
thanks for the blog shout out! i always have and alaways will love damask and green…so fresh and vibrant!

Oh, good lord, Chanda, that wedding is absolutely stunning! Thanks for the link — even though the damask didn’t work out with our venue, i’ve still got a couple damask-tastic ideas floating around that i’ll get around to posting one of these days. I may just have to include some of those pictures, too. Gorgeous!!
